2015 Bachelet Monnot Bourgogne Blanc

Burgundy, France

Winemaker: Maranges & Santenay Bachelet
Vineyard/Year: Bachelet Monnot / 2015
Being poured at: Four in Hand

It has been a very long time since the wine world has had an outstanding new Puligny Domaine emerge from the Côte d’Or firmament. Thanks to the fresh faced Bachelet brothers, we now do.

This superb Bourgogne Blanc is drawn from some seriously impressive terroir – 1.3 hectares of 20-50 year old vines in Puligny (spread across four parcels) and a plot of young vine Chassagne on chalky soil. This, combined with the quality of the viticulture, harvest date and confident, hands-off winemaking, gifts one of the best value white Burgundies on the market.

Tasting notes

Balanced palate, fresh acidity and the slightest hint of spice towards the end.
