The Riesling Pack
The Paul Anheuser vineyards, spread out along the Nahe valley, offer a wide variety of characteristic wines, reflecting the influence of the different soil structures, such as porphyry or red sandstone, and the varying microclimates, especially on the upper Nahe with its incredibly steep rocky formations.
The wines mature in old oak casks in cool underground vaulted cellars. Recent vintages typify the regional character of Nahe wines, marked by fine, crisp acidity, mineral flavours and plenty of concentration. Despite old traditions, new innovative wines have been recently introduced, with a larger percentage of dry-style wines.
The latest winemaker (14th generation) took over from his father when he passed away, and discovered all the 1989 Riesling that his father had tucked away. Once the wines were discovered, they checked and re-corked all the wines before selling them. This extremely rare, limited release wine is stunning and is a must for any Riesling drinker.
This pack includes:
- 1989 Anheuser Niederhauser Felsen Steyer Auslese
- 2016 Anheuser Kreuznacher Narrenkappe Trocken
- 2016 Anheuser Kreuznacher Kahlenberg Spätlese
