Organic grape growing, without irrigation, hand harvested

Gulfi ‘Carricantji’ 2012 Terre Siciliane IGT
A blend of mostly Carricante, the great white grape of Etna, along with Albanello, an ancient variety from Ragusa and Syracuse, from Gulfi’s Vigna Campo vineyard in Chiaramonte Gulfi at around 400m above sea level. The soils are calcareous with a moderate clay component and the vines are planted at a high density, with the Carricante propagated from massal selections of the best vines from Etna.
Gulfi ‘Nerojbleo’ Nero d’Avola 2014 Sicilia IGT
100% Nero d’Avola. Gulfi’s Vigna Coste vineyard, in Chiaramonte Gulfi, averages around 420m above sea level on a slight slope, with calcareous soils and a moderate clay component. The viticulture is strictly organic. Fruit is hand-picked and sorted before temperature-controlled fermentation and an extended maceration on skins. The wine is matured in 225 and 500ltr barrels for 12 months before bottling.
Gulfi Cerasuolo di Vittoria 2016 Cerasuolo di Vittoria DOCG
Frappato, Nero d’Avola. Juicy and open wine with a profusion of cherry, raspberry and plum scents underwritten by classic earthy notes; the palate is fruit-driven and vibrant with a distinct note of wild raspberry carried by moderate structural tension and good freshness.
