NV Loredan Gasparini Prosecco Glera Volpago del Montello Italy

This cuvee of Gasparini is selected from the best glera old clone grapes from the “Belvedere Vineyard”, a plot dating back to 1969, situated on the Montello hillside, North of Venice. Gasparini use natural winemaking methods to produce a bolder deeper expression of Glera, bonus points is that its even vegan… 

2015 Trapeze Blanc Sauvignon Blanc Pinot Gris Semillon Yarra Valley Vic 

This is the venture of friends James Lance (Punch) and Brian Conway (Izway Wines). While James is firmly attached to the Yarra Valley, Brian divides his time between the Barossa Valley and Melbourne. James and Brian’s project is to work together to produce wines of interest and texture that ultimately are about sheer drinkability. This Blanc ticks all the boxes.

2013 Zenato Rosso Veronese Alanera Corvina Rondinella Merlot Cabernet Sauvignon Veneto Italy 

Zenato “Alanera” bends the rules a bit of a traditional Amarone.  The grapes are the same used in Amarone — Corvina, Rondinella and Corvinone — but with the addition of a little Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon to add roundness and structure. Secondly, the grapes are only partially dried for 45-60 days, making the wine more accessible at a young age, then ages in oak for 12 months to give it an added touch of tannin, whilst still juicy and voluptuous.
