The Scorpo Estate Pinot Noir exemplifies that passion for wine is in the Scorpo blood. It is a whole family operation stretching across generations and geography – from Sicily to Sardinia and now Australia.
This replaces the Estate wine. It is all estate-grown fruit, and a mix of MV6 and Abel clone. Cherry, red fruits, exotic spice, a twist of orange peel, dried rose perfume. It is medium-bodied, savoury and spicy, with fresh raspberry acidity, showing something of a Campari-like flavour, a stony feel to tannin, and closing with excellent length. Very good. 94 points.
