2023 Giacomo Boveri Piccolo Derthonna

Deliciously complex Italian white wine made from the rare native grape Timorasso. This is almost entirely grown in the Colli Tortonesi in the south east corner of Piemonte. Green apple, lemon zest, mint and tarragon, a light salted almond top note too. It’s bright and lively, but has depth too, with a sort of a Scotch Finger biscuit creaminess, lemon oil, crushed rock texture, and a long cool finish closing with the gustatory cinch of lemon peel bitterness.
