The 2022 Michel Gahier Arbois Chardonnay “Les Follasses” is a distinctive white wine from France’s Jura region. Crafted from 45-year-old Chardonnay vines planted in marne blanche soil, it undergoes the traditional “ouillé” method, where barrels are regularly topped up to prevent oxidation.
The wine presents an intense straw-yellow colour with golden reflections. The nose offers aromas of yellow apple, apricot, and hazelnut, complemented by pleasant buttery notes. On the palate there is a zesty, lively profile with flavors of preserved lemons and orchard fruits, finishing with a subtle nutty touch.
