The Roussanne grape owes its name to the reddish or russet bloom it develops on its skin as it reaches full maturity

This grape is late ripening and ideally suited to the Barossa climate. Wild yeast barrel fermented, 9 months in French oak barriques.

Tasting notes

Handpicked on 22 February 2016, destemmed and pressed, wild yeast barrel fermented, no malolactic, nine months in French oak barriques (Damy), 24% new, racked to tank, fined and filtered. This barrel fermented Roussanne has notes of marzipan, banana peel and green tea on the nose, and a powdery dry palate of camomile and cut hay.
